Seems like everyone is talking about “Going Green” these days. We agree it’s a good thing for the environment and we took the initiative to be “Green” long before it was the popular thing to do. Each year we send approximately 650 tons of paper scrap back to the mills for recycling and salvage over 30,000 metal plates. Our conventional printing inks are soy content and solvent free; the lowest VOC inks available. Our UV inks are cured with ultraviolet energy so they’re 100% VOC free. Even our presses are environmentally friendly; both Heidelberg XL105s and the XL75 require 60% less solvent during operation than other presses. And, we’ve installed a Beta F filtration systems that allows us to extend the life span of the water used in the printing process from one week to nine months.

Tepel Brothers is an FSC Certified printer, furthering our commitment to the green concept. The Forest Stewardship Council is the most rigorous, credible forest certification program worldwide. We also actively support local environmental groups like The Greening of Detroit, a not-for-profit organization established to guide and inspire the reforestation of Detroit. As they say, good things are growing in Detroit, and we’re proud to be a part of it. Our investment in “Green” technologies, membership in “Green” programs and support of local “Green” initiatives are some of the things that make us different.
